Our Story
EL CAFÉ is located on Taraval Street at 24th Avenue across the street from McCoppin Square in the Sunset Parkside neighborhood of San Francisco. We are a small family owned business passionate about sharing our love for organic fair trade NOMADIC COFFEE and our signature Panini sandwiches to our neighborhood. It’s been always our dream to open a café in our neighborhood. We believe life begins after a good cup of coffee!
Mural of Piazza del Campo
The mural of Piazza del Campo painted by Jennifer Ewing in 1995 is a high point of the cozy interior of EL CAFÉ. Piazza del Campo is the principal public space of the historic center of Siena, Tuscany, Italy. This Italian scenery had an influence in the creation of some items on our menu.
"El Cafe is a neighborhood gem! My wife enjoys the fiesta salad and I love their various coffee drinks + sandwiches (tuna melt is great + filling). The employees are super nice and I believe it is a family run spot. Too bad I live a couple miles away or I would be here way more frequently."
